Properties
Description
PCL(3k)-PEG(2k)-ALK is an alkyne functionalized block copolymer with a hydrophobic polycaprolactone (PCL) block and a hydrophilic PEG block. The terminal alkyne reacts with azide moiety in the presence of Cu catalyst or with cyclooctyne, such as DBCO or BCN to form a stable triazole bond. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups.
Molecular Weight
PCL(3 kDa), PEG(2 kDa)
Functional Group 1
Alkyne
Identity
Confirmed by NMR.
Applications
PCL(3k)-PEG(2k)-ALK is used to construct stimuli-responsive systems, where changes in pH or temperature trigger controlled active molecule release.
