GlycoCLICK™-based Glycopolymer Synthesis Service
Advancing Glycopolymer Synthesis With CD BioGlyco's GlycoCLICK™ Technology
Glycosylation plays an important regulatory role in organisms and is closely related to a variety of physiological and pathological processes. CD BioGlyco provides professional GlycoCLICK™-based glycopolymer synthesis service. We provide clients with high-quality, custom glycopolymers to accelerate research progress and application development in various fields.
- Specialized synthesis service
- We utilize GlycoCLICK™ technology for the synthesis of glycopolymers. The technology uses click chemistry reactions, such as the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction, to connect sugar units to polymer chains. According to the design plan, we adjust parameters such as synthesis reaction conditions, catalyst selection, and reaction time to maximize yield and purity.
- We provide specialized custom synthesis for glycopolymers. We design and synthesize glycopolymers with specific glycosyl composition, chain length, and degree of cross-linking according to client needs. These polymers are used in a variety of applications such as cell-glycosyl interaction studies, drug delivery systems, and diagnostic reagent development.
- In addition, we provide glycosyl-modified polymer Biomaterial Preparation Service through GlycoCLICK™ technology, which is used in biosensors, tissue engineering, and other fields.
- Purification and characterization service
- We purify and separate the synthesized glycopolymers to remove unreacted monomers, by-products, and other impurities to obtain high-purity glycopolymers. Commonly used methods include column chromatography, solvent extraction, gel permeation chromatography, etc.
- Moreover, we provide comprehensive characterization and analysis for synthesized glycopolymers, such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry (MS), gel electrophoresis, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), etc. These analytical methods confirm the structure of glycopolymers, purity, molecular weight, and other key parameters.

Results: Inulin-based glycopolymers have important application potential as cell-targeted drug carriers. The authors introduced multiple carbohydrate units into the inulin scaffold via CuAAC reaction and synthesized a glycopolymer composed of an inulin scaffold and pendant β-lactoside, which had dual affinity for β-galactoside and α-glucoside specific lectins. It also had gelling properties and was used as a drug delivery carrier material.
