Properties
Description
Aminooxy-PEG4-azide is a heterobifunctional crosslinker that features both an aminooxy group and an azide group. The aminooxy moiety can be utilized in bioconjugation, reacting with aldehydes to form oxime bonds. When a reductant is present, it will create hydroxylamine linkages instead. The azide group can engage in reactions with alkynes, BCN, or DBCO through click chemistry, resulting in stable triazole linkages.
Molecular Formula
C10H22N4O5
Identity
Confirmed by NMR.
Applications
This compound finds application in click chemistry and bioconjugation reactions. The aminooxy group can react with aldehydes and ketones to form stable oxime linkages. The PEG4 moiety enhances solubility and biocompatibility. It is used for the modification of biomolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids, as well as in the synthesis of drug delivery systems and nanomaterials for targeted therapy.
