Properties
Description
PCL(3k)-PEG(3k)-ALK is a copolymer with a polycaprolactone (PCL) hydrophobic block and a PEG hydrophilic block. The terminal alkyne reacts with azide moiety in the presence of Cu catalyst or with cyclooctyne, such as DBCO or BCN to form a stable triazole bond.
Molecular Weight
PCL(3 kDa), PEG(3 kDa)
Functional Group 1
Alkyne
Identity
Confirmed by NMR.
Applications
PCL(3k)-PEG(3k)-ALK can be used to covalently or non-covalently modify the copolymer surface to modulate the properties and functions of the material, e.g., to enhance biocompatibility, to control the rate of molecule release, and so on.
