PCL(3k)-PEG(5k)-ALK is a biocompatible and amphiphilic block copolymer which is reactive with azide molecule in the presence of copper catalyst to form a triazole bond. The polymer can form micelles in water where the polycaprolactone (PCL) (at the core) is shielded by the PEG (shell).
