Properties
Description
14-(Azide-PEG4-ethylcarbamoyl)tridecanoic-t-butyl ester features an azide group linked to a PEG spacer with an alkane tail that includes a t-butyl ester. This azide can react with alkynes, BCN, and DBCO through click chemistry to form stable triazole linkages. The carboxylic acid protected by the t-butyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. Additionally, 14-(azide-PEG4-ethylcarbamoyl)tridecanoic-t-butyl ester acts as a self-assembling PEG reagent capable of forming micelles in aqueous solutions.
