Properties
Description
t-boc-N-amido-PEG9-azide functions as a PEG reagent incorporating both an azide moiety and a Boc-protected amino group. The presence of the hydrophilic PEG spacer increases its solubility in aqueous environments. This azide group reacts readily with alkyne compounds like BCN and DBCO through click chemistry processes to create stable triazole linkages. Additionally, the Boc protecting group can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions to release the amine.
