Properties
Description
Carboxy-amido-PEG5-amine is a PEG reagent that contains both an amino (NH2) and a terminal carboxylic acid group. The presence of the hydrophilic PEG unit enhances its hydrophilicity. The NH2 amine group can react with carboxylic acids in the presence of coupling reagents such as EDC, or directly with NHS esters, to form a stable amide bond.
