Properties
Description
SPDP-PEG-amine is a reagent grade pyridyl disulfide modified polyPEG which reacts with thiol moiety to produce a new disulfide bond and generate unreactive pyridine-2-thione as a by-product. The newly formed disulfide bond is cleaved with a reducing agent such as DTT. The amine moiety is reactive with an activated ester (NHS) or with a carboxylic acid in the presence of an activator, such as HATU or EDC.
