Properties
Description
16-(Azide-PEG4-ethylcarbamoyl)pentadecanoic-t-butyl ester serves as a PEG linker incorporating an azide group alongside an alkane tail that features a terminal t-butyl ester moiety. Similar to other products, its azide can engage in click chemistry reactions with alkyne compounds like BCN or DBCO resulting in stable triazole formations. The t-butyl protected carboxylic acid can be deprotected under acidic conditions. This polymer has the ability to spontaneously form micelles when placed in water and may also be utilized for creating more complex lipids suitable for nanoparticles used in drug delivery applications.
