Description
16-(Azide-PEG5-ethylcarbamoyl)pentadecanoic-t-butyl ester serves as a PEG linker featuring both an azide group and an alkane tail ending with a terminal t-butyl ester. Similar to its counterpart, the azide group can engage in reactions with alkynes, BCN, and DBCO via click chemistry processes to yield stable triazole linkages. The t-butyl protected carboxylic acid can also undergo deprotection under acidic conditions. This polymer is capable of forming micelles spontaneously when placed in water and may be used for creating more intricate lipids intended for drug delivery nanoparticles.
