Description
N-(Azido-PEG2)-N-Boc-PEG3-t-butyl ester is a reagent grade branched PEG molecule with Boc protected amine, a terminal azide group, and a terminal t-butyl ester. Under mildly acidic conditions, the t-butyl-protected carboxyl group is hydrolyzed. Under acidic conditions, Boc-protected amine is deprotected.
Applications
N-(Azido-PEG2)-N-Boc-PEG3-t-butyl ester allows it to serve as a dynamic platform for drug delivery systems, facilitating the robust attachment of various therapeutic agents while providing a mechanism for controlled release, thus optimizing the pharmacological profiles of the drugs involved.
