Description
N-(Azido-PEG2)-N-Boc-PEG4-t-butyl ester is a reagent grade branched PEG reagent with a terminal t-butyl ester, Boc protected amine, and a terminal azide group. The azide groups reacts with alkynes (DBCO, BCN, and propargyl reagents). Under acidic conditions, the protected amine is deprotected. Under mildly acidic conditions, the t-butyl-protected carboxyl group is deprotected.
Applications
N-(Azido-PEG2)-N-Boc-PEG4-t-butyl ester is a versatile intermediate for the synthesis of bioconjugates, utilizing an azide moiety for click chemistry and a t-butyl ester group for further modification.
