Properties
Description
20-(Azide-PEG3-ethylcarbamoyl)nonadecanoic-t-butyl ester acts as a PEG linker incorporating an azide group and an alkane tail terminating with a t-butyl ester. Its azide moiety can react via click chemistry with alkyne compounds like BCN or DBCO to form stable triazole linkages. Additionally, the t-butyl protected carboxylic acid can be deprotected under acidic conditions. This polymer has the ability to spontaneously form micelles in aqueous solutions and may also serve as a precursor for more complex lipids intended for drug delivery nanoparticles.
