Properties
Description
Fmoc-N-amido-PEG4-t-Boc-Hydrazide functions as a PEG reagent that includes an Fmoc-protected amine along with a Boc-protected hydrazide. Under basic conditions, the Fmoc group can be removed to yield free amines suitable for further conjugation reactions. The presence of the hydrophilic PEG spacer improves solubility in aqueous environments. Furthermore, the Boc protecting group can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions to generate a reactive hydrazide capable of coupling with various carbonyl groups thereafter.
