Description
Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2-NHS serves as an active pegylation reagent consisting of five PEG units. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer enhances solubility in aqueous environments. The azide group facilitates reactions with alkynes such as BCN or DBCO through click chemistry, leading to stable triazole linkages being formed. Furthermore, the NHS ester functionality allows it to label primary amines t-found in proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amino-containing molecules.
