Properties
Description
This amine-reactive labeling reagent combines an alpha-lipoic acid domain directly with an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester handle. The lipoic acid core contains a cyclic disulfide ring that binds strongly to gold surfaces or nanoparticle substrates. The NHS ester terminal reacts with primary amines to form stable amide connections without a PEG spacer.
