Properties
Description
PEI-b(10k)-mPEG(1k) is a block copolymer comprised of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and poly(ethylene imine) (PEI). PEI-b-mPEG can be used in the development of lipid nanoparticles. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups.
Molecular Weight
PEI-b(10 kDa), mPEG(1 kDa)
Identity
Confirmed by NMR.
Applications
PEI-b(10k)-mPEG(1k) binds to negatively charged nucleic acid molecules (e.g., DNA or RNA) to form a stabilizing complex, which promotes the uptake and expression of the nucleic acid molecules within the cell.
